The conference will be held on 26th & 27th September 2026 at Pradyut Smrity Sadan, Zilla Parishad, Midnapore, West Bengal, in collaboration with the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI).

Empowering Women’s Health – Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy

The central theme of WMOGSCON 2026 is:

“Empowering Women’s Health – Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy”

Teenage pregnancy continues to be an important public-health and social concern. Pregnancy during adolescence can have significant implications for the physical and emotional health of young girls, as well as their education, social development and future opportunities.

Addressing teenage pregnancy requires more than medical intervention. It calls for awareness, education, accessible healthcare, counselling, family support and coordinated efforts across communities and healthcare systems.

Through this conference, WMOGS aims to encourage informed discussion and professional collaboration around these challenges while promoting a stronger commitment to the health, well-being and future of adolescent girls.

A Platform for Scientific Learning and Knowledge Sharing

WMOGSCON 2026 will provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals to come together, exchange experiences and discuss contemporary developments in obstetrics and gynaecology.

The conference will bring together experts from different parts of the country for scientific sessions, professional discussions and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Key areas highlighted by the conference include:

  • Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy
  • Empowering Women’s Health
  • Adolescent and Reproductive Health
  • Scientific Knowledge Sharing
  • Expert Collaboration
  • New Perspectives in Women’s Healthcare
  • Maternal and Reproductive Healthcare
  • Building Stronger Healthcare Partnerships

The programme is designed to encourage meaningful interaction between professionals and provide opportunities to learn from diverse clinical experiences and perspectives.

Why Preventing Teenage Pregnancy Matters

Adolescent girls need access to accurate health information, appropriate counselling and supportive healthcare services to make informed decisions about their health and future.

Preventing unintended teenage pregnancy can contribute to better educational opportunities, improved health outcomes and greater social and economic empowerment for young women.

Healthcare professionals have an important role to play in creating awareness, providing adolescent-friendly services and supporting families and communities in addressing reproductive-health concerns.

WMOGSCON 2026 aims to provide a professional platform where these issues can be discussed openly and constructively.

Bringing Experts Together

A major objective of WMOGSCON is to encourage collaboration among medical professionals and other stakeholders working towards better women’s healthcare.

The conference will create opportunities for:

Knowledge Sharing → Expert Collaboration → Scientific Learning → New Perspectives → Stronger Action for Women’s Health

Such professional interaction can help strengthen healthcare networks and encourage the exchange of ideas that may contribute to better practices and improved patient care.
